We have a winner!

Thanks to everyone who participated. There were some amazing views out YOUR windows that were captured in some beautiful photo submissions. But as luck would have it, the most dramatic view and the most challenging to paint was the one my Muse selected, while blind-folded, out of a cardboard box. This view of the lake out Rick Crootof's window in New Hampshire contained magical light from both a setting sun and a rising moon. I enjoyed painting this scene and I hope Rick and his family will enjoy looking at the painting in the darkness of winter at their other house.

222 - New Hampshire Moonrise
Size: 16 x 12, Oil on Canvas

My previous offer to paint the view out YOUR window still holds. Please submit a photo to gbc@nyc.rr.com and we can discuss what kind of painting you would like.
